From design, straight on through to production, MTSI’s one-stop industrial shop minimizes the need for outside contracting and middle-men. With in-house heat treating, welding, bending and forming operations along with modern machining, most lead times can be reduced. The same team works on your project from start to finish.

Our Team
President and CEO
David Woolard:
MTSI was founded by company president and CEO, David Woolard, in 1994. David's background in engineering and manufacturing include over 40 years of experience that are an integral part of the unique success and capabilities of MTSI.
Operations Manager
Thomas Woolard:
Thomas graduated from the University of South Carolina and began working at MTSI in 2014. He is a certified welder as well as the day to day operations manager.
Office Manager
Ruth Hinson:
Ruth began working at MTSI in 2014. She is the first smiling face you will see when you enter our facility!
Shop Foreman
Donald Watts:
Donald has been with MTSI since 1995 and has over 50 years of welding and fabricating experience. He is a master craftsman, experienced in all facets of welding, fixturing, and fabricating. He is a former deacon, Sunday school teacher, and welding instructor.
Welder/Fabricator
Jamie Craft:
Jamie followed in his father's footsteps and began working at MTSI in 2004. He is an extremely talented welder and fabricator, making many complex weldments during his years here.
Machinist
Rocky Sturgess:
Rocky has been with MTSI since 2008 and excels in precision milling, turning, and grinding.
Laser Operator
Nathan Boulware:
Nathan began working at MTSI in 2018. With five years of experience, Nathan has mastered the laser to be able to tackle even the most complex projects.

Bubba Kennington:
With over 50 years of machining experience, and over 20 years being at MTSI, there is not much Bubba can't do.

Armondo Tamayo:
Armando is one of the most recent hires at MTSI. While only being here since 2018, he has quickly become an asset to our team.

Jimmy Corbett:
Jimmy has over 30 years of machining experience and has spent over 15 of those years here at MTSI. Jimmy always thinks outside of the box which allows him to excel at even the hardest tasks.
Quality Control Inspector
Bill Hough:
Bill has been the quality control inspector and part time delivery driver at MTSI for over 15 years. His 35 years of machining experience allow him to excel in his quality control role.
Pipe Fitter/Welder
Vernon Tarlton:
Vernon is a jack of all trades with over 40 years of experience. Over the past 20 years that he has been at MTSI, he has worked on and made countless intricate projects.
